Hi, I’m Amy!
I’m so glad you’re here! I’m a wife and mom of two sweet little girls. I’m an accountant by day and a wannabe home school mom at night. I love crafting and doing all-the-mom-things while staying on a budget.
Most of all, I am trying to figure out the best ways to pass down the Catholic faith to our children. As a busy working mom, I love discovering easy and ACTIONABLE ideas on how to teach the faith that are practical and simple to do.
I am a teacher by nature. When I want to know more about a topic, I dive really deep into the sea of information and I love sharing things as I discover them so I started a Catholic mom blog! I hope that you can relate to my stories about my life as a mom, living out the Catholic daily life and everything in between.
How did I get here?
Growing up, my family did not live out the liturgical year at home. My parents separated when I was 12 and my sister and I went through some difficult times at home. Although my mom has a strong faith and trust in God, I felt very uninspired in my faith life as a young adult.
Fast forward to the birth of our children, I suddenly felt a strong moral responsibility to teach our Catholic faith, especially since my 4 year old is going to a public school. Once I decide on something, I always go ALL IN! I knew that if I wanted to raise good children who will hopefully stay Catholic, I need to model that life too (children can see through everything!) I truly believe that the Holy Spirit is working through them.
I learned from other devout families that our Catholic faith is so rich with tradition. It is easy to get overwhelmed from it all! So I am going to start with baby steps in liturgical living. I hope to cultivate family traditions that will be so deeply embedded into their lives that it will always be a part of them.
At the same time, I want to grow my own relationship with Christ right along with them.
I hope you’ll subscribe by email, drop me a note (Amy at CraftingCatholics dot com) and tell me about you. If you have any tips or stories to share, I’d love to hear them.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you’ll stick around for a while.
